Exploring Visual Texts to Foster Comprehension, Conversation, and Confidence!

Please join The Art of Comprehension author, Trevor Bryan, and the Connecticut Reading Association for a unique professional development experience. When given the right tools, we believe that all readers have the ability to think and respond to texts at high levels. In this workshop, Trevor will show us how to use visual texts to support high level thinking skills such as making inferences, using text evidence, identifying themes, and making meaningful connections. Exploring visual texts can also have a positive impact on writing, listening, and speaking! We will find out more about that, too!

Your $20 registration fee will be used to purchase books to support the Eastern CT Chapter of Project Lit Book Club!  More information will be provided on the workshop day and/or you can follow CRA on Twitter (@ctreading64) and Facebook.

Registration/Check-in begins at 8:15. This workshop is $20 for CRA members, $45 dollars for non-members (includes CRA membership fee). A light continental breakfast and a pizza/salad lunch will be provided.
