It is always a challenge to stay connected to our work over the summer in ways that feel rejuvenating rather than a chore. Now, of course, we face extra challenges – fatigue, stress, and even more distance. In this workshop, we will explore ways for the summer to feel like a time that we can expand our professional hearts and minds – how we can get better and readier and more fulfilled before the year starts. Centering on the idea that “escape is not the same thing as rejuvenation,” we will think about ways we can all move forward in our teaching – such as by expanding our understanding of social justice in our work, by taking on a left aside challenge, by participating in something we may have avoided before. Join us!
